August 5th

Hey, Waumba Land parents!  We are excited to announce that Ollie, the Owl, will have a “Special Delivery” for your children starting the week of August 9th.  Waumba Land volunteers want to partner with you in your children’s spiritual journey! Each month, we will deliver a special package from Ollie that contains the monthly memory verse, weekly craft activities and supplies that correspond with the Bible Story available on our website each week.  We want to assure you that we took extra care and love in preparing these packages.  We wore masks and we used a lot of hand sanitizer!  We hope this will be an easy and fun resource to help you teach your children about Jesus and His love.

Quarantine has a way of magnifying the frustrations . . . err . . .
differences between family members, doesn’t it?

Some of us are talkers. Others just want quiet.

Some want a family game night. Others prefer a solo Netflix binge.

And some are knocking out to-do lists, while others are FaceTiming with
friends.

Why are people who live in the same house—maybe even with the
same genetics—so different?

Kathleen Edelman would say it’s your temperament.
And while we’re all stuck at home, our temperaments are on FULL
display.

Hey Everybody,

Let’s get right to the point.

We plan to relaunch all Sunday morning environments later this summer.

But like everything in this season, the details and exact date is subject to change.

Why?

As you know, our weekend services and family ministry environments are not conducive to the level of social distancing currently required to keep everyone safe. Until we’re convinced that gathering under one roof is safe for you, your family, and your neighbors, we will continue to gather online.

In the meantime, you can help us plan the reopening of our building by taking this short survey. This is your opportunity to tell us what we can do to ensure you feel safe when we gather again on Sundays.

Thanks for your patience and flexibility. If you have questions or if there is anything we can do for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

See you Sunday—online!

March 16

Due to the pubic health concerns related to COVID-19, we will not be meeting in person for Breathe for a few weeks. We are working to come up with ways we can potentially meet virtually and continue to encourage each other during this time. We will do our best to keep us connected. In the meantime, please follow our new Instagram account @breathe_redstone. It will be a place where we can share encouragement, send prayer requests and also post fun ideas to keep your kids entertained. We want this space to bring JOY!

We want to reassure you that our capable and loving Heavenly Father is still very much in control and even though this situation can feel overwhelming He is absolutely not overwhelmed and His purposes are still being fulfilled in the midst of the chaos.

March 13

After prayerful consideration of the public health situation, our staff and elders have determined that it is in the best interest of the health of our community to suspend Sunday worship services at Redstone Church. We will not be hosting services for the next three Sundays beginning this Sunday, March 15.

This Sunday at 9:30am CDT, we will share a live local update on our Facebook page. We will then join the online worship service with our partners at North Point at 10am CDT (northpoint.org/live) to continue in our current series. We will share further details early next week for our local plan to stay engaged together during this season.

If someone asks why your church chose to respond to this health crisis by closing its doors, here’s our response:

  1. We are loving our neighbors by protecting our neighbors.
  2. We are not being fearful. We are being responsible.
  3. This is what love requires of us in this season.

We will do our best to keep you informed and connected. Pay attention to our social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for latest updates.

Prayerfully,
Jimbo
