Born into a faithful Christian family, Jimbo was primarily raised in the Birmingham area. He began following Jesus at a young age and grew in faith as a member of a local church. He went to Auburn University and then worked with a consulting firm in Atlanta before following a call to ministry.

Jimbo first served on staff at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia before attending seminary at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama. While in seminary, he began serving at Mountain Brook Community Church where he remained on staff for over 10 years. The bulk of his time at MBCC, Jimbo was their Mission Pastor. He has a passion for the gospel and longs to help people know and follow Jesus.

Married since 2005, Jimbo and Hayley have four young children that keep them busy and entertained. When not at work, he enjoys the outdoors, coaching his kids in sports, and working out at Iron Tribe.

Russell Flynt

Groups & College Ministry Director

Excited to see people coming to know Christ through a personal, authentic relationship, Russell Flynt serves as Groups & College Ministry Director at Redstone. In this role, he pastors, coordinates, and fosters growth for leaders and volunteers of small groups from college through empty nest life stages.

With more than a decade of experience, Russell has served in ministry at The Orchard Evangelical Free Church, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, as well as the Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He relishes the opportunity to cast vision for ministry and to lead others to bring Christ to people wherever they are.

Russell is married to Molliann and they have two daughters, Ella Rae and Rita Kate. An avid football fan and coffee conniseur, Russell enjoys spending time with friends and cheering on his favorite teams.

Betsy A. Lee

Service Programming Director

Heard but rarely seen, Betsy Lee handles all things “back of the house.” As Service Programming Director, she oversees and manages every creative, technical and organizational aspect of Redstone’s weekly service and special events. Her efforts help create the engaging environment at Redstone where people feel welcome.

Betsy was born and raised in Reamstown, Pennsylvania, where she attended St. Paul’s Evangelical Congregational Church. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television, she became active with NorthBridge Community Church in Pittsburgh, volunteering first with Guest Services and then moving to the Production Team, where she truly found her passion for putting her production talents to work for God.

When Betsy is not working, she can be found exploring the city. From enjoying baseball games, trying new coffee shops, and checking out various music venues, she rarely sits still. She also spends a lot of time connecting with her close-knit family, including her parents, 2 siblings, nieces and nephews, and grandmother.

Jordan Chambliss

Student Ministry Intern

With a passion for students, Jordan Chambliss serves as our Student Ministry Intern where he is creating an environment for middle and high schoolers to grow in a relationship with Jesus. He often spends his working hours prepping for a Sunday morning and hanging with students during the week.

Jordan is from Buford, Georgia and attends Samford University. He previously worked at Gwinnett Church, one of our North Point Partners, to help piece together student services in preparation for his future in student ministry.

Outside of his course load and ministry responsibilities, you’ll often find Jordan playing ultimate Frisbee for Samford and other professional teams or playing pick-up basketball.

Whitney Richey

Whitney Richey began serving as volunteer with her husband, Ryan, in Upstreet in February of 2016. She joined the staff as Upstreet coordinator in March of 2018. Whitney is passionate about creating environments where kids can learn about God, build friendships, and have fun!

Prior to joining the Redstone team, Whitney worked for nine years at her family’s marketing firm producing medical videos and graphic design pieces. Whitney has also worked as a project manager for an interior design firm in Atlanta, Georgia and has interned for Campus Crusade for Christ, focusing on arts ministry in San Francisco, CA.

Whitney and her husband, Ryan, have two active boys, Isaac and Dublin. When not wrangling her boys, she enjoys running, hiking, and gardening.
